Fridays are for Food. And mostly certainly, as you're in the weekend spirit, we've come up with a delicious three-ingredient blueberry jam recipe that just keeps on giving!
So whether you're in the mood to cook up some pancakes, bake a cake or just grab some toast for breakfast, we've got you sorted with a simple and easy jam that can be used a topping, filling or spread to your choice of breakfast or midday meal.
Prep & cook time is just 20 minutes!
Ingredients:
- 300 grams of blueberries
- 1/2 cup of white sugar (or 4 tablespoons of honey)
- 1/2 cup of warm water
Preparation:
- Wash and add the blueberries to a large pot on medium heat. Once the juices begin to pour out, add in the half cup of water.
- As the juice from the blueberries mix with the water, begin pressing down on them using a potato masher or your cooking spoon, and had in the half cup of sugar while giving it a stir.
- Leave on medium heat for 15 minutes till the blueberry jam reduces and then leave it to simmer for 5 minutes on low heat. Once its reduced, you're all done!

You can store it in a mason jar or any glass jar with a lid, and either pop it in the freezer and use up to a month or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks!
To put our blueberry jam to use right away, we baked a vanilla cake with two delicious servings of blueberry reserve mixed in. And it turned out most delectable with every aromatic and flavorsome spoonful :). Hope you enjoy the recipe!
